Electrospinning

Cambridge Polymer Group was originally founded as a rheology company with expertise in understanding complex fluids in both shear and extension.  A natural extension of this is the recent field of electrospinning where electrical fields impart a large extensional deformation on a fluid filament.  Not only are the solution properties and environmental conditions critical but the rheology of the solutions are critical too, and it is only by understanding both that the true potential of electrospinning can be realized.
