Jason Berlin (Research Associate)

Jason BerlinJason has a B.S. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University. His masters’ thesis involved hydrogel synthesis and characterization. Jason held positions at Depuy Spine, Beth Israel Deaconess Cancer Center, and Sontra Medical. Jason’s research at CPG is focused on characterization methods for biomimetic materials and custom formulations.

Dr. Ayyana Chakravartula (Scientist II)

Dr. Ayyana ChakravartulaAyyana has a B.S. in Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering from Princeton, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UC-Berkeley. She has developed test methods for examining the mechanical properties of materials for artificial joint reconstruction. Ayyana is continuing this research at CPG, and is focusing on hydrogel and polyethylene development.

Matt Gilhooly (Operations Manager)

Matt GilhoolyMatt has a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Central Florida. Following an internship at Digibelly, he was the operations manager for Mydea Technologies. At CPG, Matt supervises day-to-day office operations, as well as coordinating marketing, financial strategy, and new business development.

Emily Heuer (Research Associate)

Emily HeuerEmily has a Bachelors of Science from the University of Connecticut-Storrs in Biomedical Engineering. Her work at CPG is focusing on hydrogel research, as well as analytical testing of polymers.

Dennise Jayham (Office Manager)

Dennise JayhamDennise is responsible for AR/AP, bookkeeping, and general office business at CPG. She has worked at Gillette, Adecco, and Harvard St. Neighborhood Health.

Dr. Edward Kopesky (Scientist II)

Dr. Edward KopeskyEd has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from MIT. He has researched toughening of thermoplastics with polyhedral oligomeric silsequioxanes, and has extensive experience in dynamic property assessment of materials. Ed is developing new hydrogel and thermoplastic formulations at CPG.

Molly McCormack (Research Associate)

Molly McCormackMolly has a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Her work at CPG focuses on instrumentation design and fabrication, in addition to analytical testing.

Bayen Miller (Scientist I)

Bayen MillerBayen has a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he studied drug formulations. He has worked as a consultant at Light Pharma, assisting in manufacturing process analysis. His work at CPG has focused on the design and development of custom laboratory and test instrumentation, as well as analytical testing of polymers.

Gregory Neal (Research Associate)

Gregory NealGregory has a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern, with additional graduate level coursework completed at the University of Memphis. Gregory worked at Sulzer Orthopedics in the analytical and tribology group, analyzing materials for prosthetic implants. At CPG, Gregory focuses on the analytical testing for clients, and assists in research involving polyethylene and hydrogels.
